How do I Install cPanel?

To install cPanel simply login to your VPS or dedicated server and follow these instructions:

To begin your installation, use the following commands:

  1. Open the /home directory by typing the command cd /home
  2. Fetch the latest installation file from the cPanel servers by typing the command wget -N http://httpupdate.cpanel.net/latest
  3. Open and run the installation files by typing the command sh latest

To check if you have a cPanel license, simply click here and enter your server IP address. You will then be returned with results regarding your server IP address and licensing. If the server is licensed, and you're getting a license invalid error in cPanel/WHM, you can run this command to resolve this: /usr/local/cpanel/cpkeyclt
